Tiffany & Co. Unveils Kabuki Theater Curtain to Celebrate Upcoming Ginza Flagship

To mark the upcoming opening of Tiffany’s largest flagship store in Asia, a special celebratory curtain dyed in Tiffany Blue has been unveiled at Tokyo’s iconic Kabuki-za theater, paying homage to Japanese cultural heritage.

As a prelude to the grand opening of its new Ginza flagship in July 2025, Tiffany & Co. has unveiled a commemorative kabuki theater curtain at Tokyo’s historic Kabuki-za. Presented during the “June Grand Kabuki,” a special performance celebrating the succession of two renowned kabuki actors—Onoe Kikugorō VIII and Onoe Kikunosuke VI—the curtain marks the start of Tiffany Ginza with a gesture of deep respect toward Japan’s cultural traditions. The curtain design transitions from Tiffany’s iconic blue to a deeper, modern shade, symbolizing a new era. Chrysanthemum flowers and a rising sun motif evoke themes of renewal and celebration. This aesthetic reflects both Tiffany’s spirit of innovation and the kabuki performance’s message of preserving tradition while looking ahead to the future. Through this collaboration with the Otowaya family, a lineage that has shaped Japanese kabuki for over three centuries, Tiffany honors its long-standing connection with Japan. Since first entering the Japanese market in 1972, the brand has remained a symbol of timeless elegance. The opening of Tiffany Ginza on July 11, 2025, in Tokyo’s Chuo district marks the beginning of a bold new chapter.
