Vans, the global action sports footwear and apparel brand, is launching a new collaboration under its elevated line “OTW by Vans” with Tokyo-based FDMTL on May 30, 2025. This marks the sixth collaboration between the two brands.
Known for its meticulously crafted indigo garments made in Japan, FDMTL brings its signature approach to timeless craftsmanship and material depth. This aligns seamlessly with Vans’ ongoing pursuit of quality and innovation, creating a capsule that once again merges both brands’ uncompromising spirits.
The collection includes two silhouettes: the Old Skool 36 EK and the Half Cab 33 EK. Inspired by sashiko—a traditional Japanese stitching method that layers cloth and thread into geometric patterns—the designs are executed using Vans’ proprietary Engineered Knit technology.
The Old Skool 36 EK features white stitching, perforated eyelets, a citadel blue outsole, and a marshmallow-toned midsole for a clean, refined aesthetic. The Half Cab 33 EK carries similar detailing, with the addition of FDMTL’s signature brand tab as a finishing touch.
The “OTW by Vans x FDMTL” collection will be available through FDMTL’s flagship store, online shop, and select retailers.
