Bottega Veneta and Morioka Shoten Present Immersive Poetry Exhibition in Ginza

Bottega Veneta partners with Tokyo’s Morioka Shoten for an immersive installation inspired by Japanese poetry, blending scent and literature at the Ginza flagship from June 19.

Bottega Veneta will host a unique exhibition titled La Libreria curated by Morioka Shoten — Satoshi Sugawara “Coffee Night Boat” at its Ginza flagship starting June 19. The installation is the result of a collaboration with Tokyo-based Morioka Shoten, known for transforming the experience of reading into multidimensional, sensory events.

Rooted in Bottega Veneta’s ethos of craftsmanship and creativity, the project bridges literature and sensory design, highlighting the brand’s ongoing dialogue with art, culture, and community. The exhibition draws inspiration from poet Satoshi Sugawara’s collection Coffee Night Boat (published by Raichosha), with five poems selected as the foundation for a new olfactory experience.

Each poem has been translated into scent by perfumer Sari, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the text through the layered language of fragrance. The result is a quiet yet powerful exploration of how poetry can resonate across the senses—an encounter with language not only through the mind, but through the body.

Through this collaboration, Bottega Veneta continues to deepen its engagement with Japanese culture, while inviting new forms of creative exchange between literature and design.
