Tripster x Dickies Revive “Dickies for Gentlemen” with Tweed After Six Years

The eighth chapter of Tripster and Dickies’ ongoing suit project marks a return to tweed for the first time since 2019, refining a familiar silhouette for the formal moments woven into everyday life.

Tripster, the architectural design studio led by Kunichi Nomura, is set to release the eighth installment of its long-running collaboration with Dickies on December 24. Known under the slogan “Dickies for gentlemen,” the project has, since its launch in 2018, proposed an alternative to conventional suits—designed for occasions when dressing up is unavoidable, from ceremonies and important meetings to personal milestones, without sacrificing comfort or ease.

This latest edition reintroduces tweed for the first time in six years. Crafted from a wool-blend tweed fabric, the suit is designed for the colder season, offering warmth alongside moisture control. Its soft surface texture and subtle depth create a composed, refined appearance distinct from smoother textiles. The silhouette follows the updated pattern introduced in the seventh release: a boxy, slightly cropped jacket with a more restrained chest opening, paired with pleated trousers that taper gently from thigh to ankle, reinforcing a clean yet relaxed formal look.

Available in brown, gray, and black, the suit is priced at ¥39,380 (tax included). It launches on December 24 from 11:00 JST at Beams Harajuku Annex (Future Archive), with availability through Beams’ online store as preparations are completed. Designed as a dependable uniform for moments that matter, the Tripster x Dickies collaboration continues to refine its vision of modern formality.
