Uniform Experiment and Yuni Yoshida Join Forces for Pop-Up at V.A.

A new pop-up event at V.A. brings together Uniform Experiment and celebrated art director Yuni Yoshida, showcasing surreal yet tactile artworks across exclusive apparel and lifestyle goods. Available from July 18.

Uniform Experiment is teaming up with acclaimed art director Yuni Yoshida for a special pop-up event at concept store V.A. in Tokyo. Launching on July 18, the collaboration features a series of original artworks developed by Yoshida, known for her distinctive analog approach—crafting eye-catching, surreal visuals using real materials instead of CGI.

Rather than simply printing these works onto fabric, the team reimagined each piece by treating garments and goods as canvases themselves. The result is a unique lineup that blends Yoshida’s signature visual language with Uniform Experiment’s sharp design sensibility.

Three key concepts anchor the collection. “Fruits Planet” turns solar system motifs into vivid fruit sculptures, featured on T-shirts, totes, pouches, notebooks, and colored pencils. “Flower” uses actual petals and leaves cut into pixel-like mosaics, creating a floral shirt, blanket, notebook set, and colorful tees. “Mud Doll” transforms teddy bear figures into clay-based sculptures, reinterpreted as printed shirts, tees, keyrings, and handkerchiefs.

The full collection will be available at V.A. from July 18 to July 27, with store hours from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
