Patina Osaka, the first Japanese outpost from the Capella Hotel Group, has unveiled a new merchandise collaboration with acclaimed graphic designer Verdy. Starting July 12, a lineup of limited-edition items—including three original T-shirt designs, a workwear jacket, and a sticker set—will be available at the hotel’s first-floor retail shop.
This marks Verdy’s first-ever collaboration with a luxury hotel and his first use of environmentally conscious materials, inspired by Patina Osaka’s sustainability ethos. The collection reflects a mutual commitment to craft and creative innovation, embodying a new form of luxury rooted in conscious living.
Verdy, best known for projects like Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth, described the collaboration as an effort to naturally merge street culture with refined hospitality. “I didn’t try to change my style—I leaned into it. Because my work comes from street culture, I knew being true to that would make the collaboration feel authentic,” he explained. He also incorporated his original character Vick into the graphics.
The release signals the start of a broader creative program at Patina Osaka, which will include exhibitions, artist residencies, and cross-disciplinary events exploring art, music, fashion, and gastronomy. General manager Ellen Franke commented that the project “celebrates the creative energy that makes Osaka special and brings that story to the world.”
All items will be available from 10:00 a.m. on July 12, with prices ranging from ¥2,200 (tax included) for the sticker set to ¥35,000 for the workwear jacket. T-shirts are ¥8,300 each, with kids’ sizes available at ¥6,500.
