Thames MMXX rolls out its inaugural T‑shirt collection, “Bread and Butter,” at Restir. Framed as an intentionally straightforward staple, the line channels the brand’s playful, slightly subversive spirit into everyday wear while keeping the craftsmanship and attitude that have defined Thames MMXX to date.
The drop centers on seven word tees—“Shoplifter,” “Pool Shark,” “Gladiator,” “Daddy,” “Only Human,” “Dominatrix,” and “Imagineer”—a wearable extension of the brand’s recurring word‑pin motif. Depending on who wears them and why, the slogans read as identity, irony, or in‑joke, which is precisely the point.
For the launch, campaign images feature Blondey alongside a cast chosen to suit each tee, including artist Slawn, IDEA Books’ David Owen, and skater Hjalte. In Japan, Restir has the exclusive on the white tees; the black colorway is a Restir‑only exclusive worldwide. Both colors come in sizes S–XXL and are priced at ¥11,000 (tax included).
Sales begin on Wednesday, August 20 at Restir and on the Restir online store from 21:00 JST.
