Real Skateboards x Verdy Celebrate Skate Shop Day with Limited Deck Collection

San Francisco’s Real Skateboards partners with artist Verdy to support independent skate culture, featuring exclusive graphics of Vick and Ishod Wair’s dog, Valentine.

Real Skateboards, the San Francisco-based deck brand, has teamed up with renowned artist Verdy to commemorate Skate Shop Day 2026. This global event, held annually on the third Saturday of February, serves to honor and support the independent skate shops that form the foundation of the world’s skateboarding community. Following a successful limited release at the Osaka shop Good Times last year, this new collaboration expands on the partnership with a series of three specialized decks.

The collection features Verdy’s signature character, Vick, alongside a tribute to professional skater Ishod Wair. One standout design depicts Vick standing with Valentine, Wair’s beloved dog, on the skater’s pro model silhouette. Verdy, the creative force behind projects like Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth, noted that a deep respect for skateboarding remains at the core of his creative practice. Due to the exclusive nature of the release, distribution is strictly limited to four decks per graphic at participating shops.

To celebrate the launch on Saturday, February 21, 2026, the Osaka skate shop Good Times will host a Jam Contest at Nagai Skateboard Park. Taking place from 14:00 to 16:00 JST, the event will feature custom obstacles, including a box section shaped like the iconic Wasted Youth ribbon logo. The contest is free to enter and designed to be inclusive for all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned skaters.
