T.T, the label formerly known as Taiga Takahashi, has announced a collaborative project with Arpa—a sensory laboratory founded by perfumer Barnabé Fillion—and the historic Ryosokuin Temple in Kyoto. The partnership features the release of a new perfume and incense collection titled “Senko no Ku” (Flash of Void). The name reflects a conceptual intersection between Senko (a sudden release of light) and Ku (void), which Fillion defines as a space harboring potential rather than mere absence. The collection, launching April 2, 2026, includes the Senko no Ku perfume priced at 58,300 yen and a collaborative incense priced at 9,350 yen. The incense notably features rare kyara (agarwood), with a scent recreated from the olfactory memories of ancient fabrics preserved at Ryosokuin.
To mark the launch, a multidisciplinary exhibition titled “VACIO Senko no Ku” will be held at Ryosokuin from April 4 to April 17, 2026. The exhibition explores the Spanish concept of Vacio (margin or blank space) through invisible media like fragrance and installation, aligning Arpa’s sensory explorations with T.T’s “Applied Archaeology” philosophy, which seeks to evoke past traces through contemporary vessels. During the exhibition, visitors can participate in reserved tea ceremonies featuring tea by Fukutaro Nakayama and original Japanese sweets by Okashimaru. Simultaneously, the T.T flagship space in Gion will host the “Light of the Moon” installation from April 2 to April 19, 2026, where the collaborative fragrances will also be available for purchase.
