East Pacific Trade (EPT) from Seoul has released a special capsule collection dedicated to Chao Bamboo, the long-loved Asian restaurant in Harajuku that has nourished the city’s creative community for decades. The project reflects EPT’s admiration for the restaurant’s enduring cultural role — a place where food, people, and ideas have continually intersected.
Led by EPT Japan’s creative director Poggy (Motofumi Kogi), the campaign features Unlikely creative director Shinsuke Nakada and model–PR Yuka, captured through both photo and film at Chao Sun Bamboo, the restaurant’s third location. The collaboration brings together figures who embody Tokyo’s unique rhythm of street culture and craftsmanship, deepening the narrative behind each item.
The capsule includes a T-shirt priced at ¥4,500 (tax included) and a cap at ¥3,500 (tax included), both available through Chao Bamboo’s physical and online stores. A commemorative shoe was also produced exclusively for friends and family. Designed as daily essentials that carry the memory of Harajuku’s vibrant street life, the pieces encapsulate the energy that has defined the neighborhood’s intersection of food and fashion.
Through this collaboration, East Pacific Trade honors Chao Bamboo’s contribution to Tokyo’s creative culture, bridging generations by translating that spirit into wearable form. The collection is available now at Chao Sun Bamboo in Harajuku (JST).
