Puma x Fumito Ganryu Explore Control and Impulse

Puma reunites with Fumito Ganryu for a dual-track collection that refines 1980s nylon tracksuits and reimagines the Mostro XC in 3D knit and 3D-printed forms, launching in Japan on October 11.

Puma once again joins forces with Japanese designer Fumito Ganryu for a new chapter in their ongoing collaboration, launching on October 11, 2025. Centered on the theme of “duality,” the collection traces a journey from rebellion to control, exploring the tension between motion and stillness through refined silhouettes and engineered materials.

The apparel lineup revisits the spirit of Puma’s 1980s nylon tracksuits, reinterpreted through Ganryu’s precise pattern-making and minimalist discipline. A monochrome palette of black, white, and grey grounds convertible jackets that transform into capes, ventilated T-shirts, and sharply tailored pants—all detailed with dual logos from Puma and Fumito Ganryu.

Footwear takes the concept further with two iterations of the Mostro XC. The “Mostro XC x Fumito Ganryu 3D” blends 3D-knit uppers with sculptural outsole elements, merging performance and futurism. Another version, constructed with advanced 3D printing, channels a monster-like energy through its bold, contoured form. First revealed at Paris Fashion Week in February, the design has already stirred global attention.

Japanese actor Show Kasamatsu stars in the campaign film, which interprets the collection’s dual nature through a story of youth and restraint. Using the symbol of a traffic signal, the film reflects on impulse versus control—a meditation on the philosophy embedded in Ganryu’s design language.

The collection is available from October 11 at Puma Harajuku Cat Street, Puma Osaka, Puma’s online store, and select retailers, with early access on October 8 at Fumito Ganryu’s store.
