Comme des Garçons Revives Its Holiday Spirit with Onitsuka Tiger

Comme des Garçons launches its 2025 holiday project with a dedicated pop-up featuring reimagined Onitsuka Tiger classics. Mexico 66 sneakers appear in bold new forms, joined by apparel built around the brand’s signature yellow and graphic reinterpretations.

Comme des Garçons brings a fresh twist to its annual holiday campaign with a new pop-up titled “Holidays with Onitsuka Tiger,” transforming select flagship spaces into dedicated installations for the collaboration. At the center of the project is the Mexico 66, a global staple within the Onitsuka Tiger archive, reworked into four exclusive variations through Rei Kawakubo’s unrestrained approach to form and customization. Alongside the sneakers, the pop-up introduces eight apparel and accessory items structured around the house’s reinterpretation of Onitsuka Tiger’s signature yellow and co-branded graphics.

The lineup includes custom Mexico 66 models featuring wide laces, splash-painted finishes, mask-like yellow detailing, and three-dimensional parts. Apparel offerings span short-sleeve and long-sleeve tees, a zip hoodie, shirting options, jersey pants, and a nylon tote. Prices range from ¥8,800 to ¥51,700 (tax included), and all items are available exclusively at the event. The stores will also carry staples from the broader Onitsuka Tiger collection.

The pop-up runs from December 1 to 28, 2025, across Comme des Garçons locations in Japan, with Paris and New York opening on December 5. Each site features a unique installation designed specifically for the seasonal project
