Post Archive Faction (PAF) unveiled its Fall Winter 2026 collection, guided by a conceptual narrative of “drifting” through an unforeseeable current without roots or a definitive home. Creative Director Dongjoon Lim utilizes this sense of displacement to explore the evolution of clothing, specifically aiming to create what he defines as a “New Classic”. The collection is built on the philosophy that modern classics were once rooted in practical sportswear, leading to a series of garments that blend historical tailoring with technical, evolving performance elements.
The presentation’s atmosphere was deeply influenced by Lim’s personal history with classical music, which he describes as a source of both beauty and boredom. By incorporating classical compositions into the show, the brand sought a deliberate dissonance, highlighting the tension between traditional elegance and progressive design. The resulting aesthetic is one of continuous evolution, where the current “Post-Archive” status is merely a transitional phase toward becoming a future archive in an endless cycle.
Collaborative artistry played a significant role in the presentation, featuring styling by Charlotte Collet and lighting design by Thierry Dreyfus. The show’s auditory landscape was anchored by pianist Guillaume Coppola, reinforcing the collection’s intersection of high art and modern utility. Through this meditative approach to design, Post Archive Faction continues to challenge the trajectory of sportswear, positioning it as the foundation for the next generation of classical menswear.
