Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo will host Andy Warhol – Serial Portraits from October 2, 2025 to February 15, 2026, offering visitors a chance to experience the Pop Art master’s celebrated and lesser-known works centered on portraiture.
Organized as part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s Hors-les-murs (“Beyond the Walls”) program—which brings selections from its collection to Espace Louis Vuitton venues in Tokyo, Munich, Venice, Beijing, Seoul, and Osaka—the exhibition reflects the Fondation’s mission to make its works accessible to a wider international audience.
The display brings together a curated selection from the Fondation’s holdings, tracing Warhol’s exploration of the human face and identity through his signature serial imagery. Capturing both celebrities and everyday subjects, the works reveal the artist’s fascination with repetition, transformation, and the blurred lines between high art and popular culture.
Founded in 2014 in Paris in a landmark building designed by Frank Gehry, the Fondation Louis Vuitton is dedicated to contemporary art and key works of the 20th century that inspire it. Through its own exhibitions and international collaborations, the Fondation has welcomed over 10 million visitors worldwide, expanding access to its collection through projects like Hors-les-murs, which offers free exhibitions at Espace Louis Vuitton locations globally.
The Tokyo exhibition is free to the public, with opening hours from 12:00 to 20:00, and follows the closing days of the Louis Vuitton Omotesando store. Visitors may be asked to wait for entry during busy periods.
