Marine Serre Opens First Japan Store at Shibuya Parco

Marine Serre opens its first Japanese store on September 19 at Shibuya Parco, unveiling a 60 sq m space envisioned by the designer herself, blending heritage, innovation, and sustainability in an immersive architectural experience.

Marine Serre has opened her first store in Japan inside Shibuya Parco, marking a new chapter for the Paris-based maison. The 60 sq m space, designed by Serre herself, merges heritage, innovation, and emotion to create an immersive environment that transcends conventional retail.

The interior evokes a sacred temple while channeling the futuristic landscapes of Blade Runner, juxtaposing ancient references with dystopian sci-fi imagery. Constructed from concrete, aluminum, and wood, the space also incorporates recycled furniture and upcycled silk-scarf curtains, reflecting the brand’s commitment to sustainability and circular design.

At the heart of the boutique stand five symbolic columns recalling ancient Greek temples. Among them, one luminous pillar embodies transformation and spirituality, leading visitors toward an altar-like jewelry display. Around this centerpiece, accessories such as bags and shoes are positioned, while menswear and womenswear collections unfold in balanced symmetry.

More than a boutique, Marine Serre Shibuya is conceived as an installation of storytelling, craftsmanship, and experimentation. Visitors are invited into a journey of textures, materials, and design, engaging with the maison’s holistic vision of femininity, hybridity, and innovation.
