Wasted Youth, led by Verdy, is releasing its first collaboration with Osaka-based tattoo artist and illustrator Tappei. The two originally connected through Thirty 3 Magazine, where Verdy featured Tappei in the debut issue—an encounter that eventually grew into this new project.
For the Shinsaibashi Parco launch, Verdy invited fellow Osaka native Tappei to reinterpret Wasted Youth’s graphic-focused aesthetic through his soft, angelic illustrations. The result is a capsule that balances sharp visuals with loose, playful linework, creating pieces that feel lighter in mood while staying true to the brand’s attitude. Small graphic twists appear across the collection, giving each item a hand-touched, conversational feel.
The lineup includes a zip hoodie, crewneck sweatshirts, a T-shirt, a knit cap, a 6-panel cap, a skate deck and a sticker set. Tappei’s growing presence across art, apparel and print—spanning collaborations with Nike, Undercover and Beams, as well as a solo show in Korea—adds depth to the collaboration’s narrative.
Campaign visuals feature skaters Issei Mori and Kaito Sagawa, with Sagawa directing the launch film and marking his addition to the Wasted Youth Skateboard crew. Their involvement roots the project in actual skate culture rather than treating it as a purely graphic drop.
The collection will be available exclusively at Shinsaibashi Parco from November 22 to 24, 2025, limited to customers who won the advance raffle. An online raffle will follow via Verdy’s Gift Shop from November 25 at 9:00 JST to November 27 at 9:00 JST.
Prices are set at ¥24,200 (tax included) for the zip hoodie, ¥16,500 (tax included) for the crewneck and ¥7,700 (tax included) for the T-shirt. Accessories include a knit cap at ¥7,150 (tax included), a 6-panel cap at ¥8,250 (tax included), a skate deck at ¥14,300 (tax included) and a sticker set at ¥3,300 (tax included).
