Awich Announces New RZA-Produced Album “Okinawan Wuman”

Awich announces “Okinawan Wuman,” a new album fully produced by RZA of Wu-Tang Clan and featuring Joey Bada$$, FERG, Lupe Fiasco, and Westside Gunn. The project will be released digitally on November 21.

Awich has announced the release of her new album “Okinawan Wuman,” produced in full by RZA, founding member of Wu-Tang Clan and one of hip-hop’s most influential figures. The album includes previously released singles such as “Butcher Shop feat. FERG” and “Wax On Wax Off feat. FERG & Lupe Fiasco,” and is set to arrive on November 21 at 00:00 JST. With 13 tracks in total and contributions from Joey Bada$$, Westside Gunn, and others, the project marks a rare, large-scale collaboration between a Japanese rapper and a legendary American producer.

Ahead of the release, Awich has unveiled the album’s cover art and tracklist, underscoring the significance of this new chapter. Speaking about the project, she describes how working with RZA allowed her to bind the spirit of Okinawa with the core of hip-hop, shaping the journey she has been walking toward the world since childhood. In an era where music is consumed at unprecedented speed, she explains that this album was made deliberately over time as a way to complete a long-standing personal story, with the hope that its energy will resonate beyond cultural borders.

“Okinawan Wuman” will be available on major digital platforms from November 21 at 00:00 JST, with a tracklist that weaves together skits and collaborations, including “Fear Us feat. Joey Bada$$ & RZA,” “Shibuya Flex feat. 454 & Mike,” and a Japan remix of “Wax On Wax Off” featuring R-Shitei, NENE, Chinza DOPENESS, and C.O.S.A. The release stands as a new milestone in Awich’s trajectory as she continues to extend her reach from Japan to the global hip-hop landscape.
