Raf Simons will stage a special archive event at Dover Street Market Ginza, marking a rare public presentation of his work three years after placing his namesake label on pause. Running from December 29, 2025 through January 18, 2026, the limited-time event gathers an extensive range of archive pieces personally selected by the designer, tracing the evolution of his vision across nearly 30 years.
The lineup reaches back to early, defining collections such as Kollaps and Riot Riot Riot, alongside later projects including collaborations with Sterling Ruby and the Twin Peaks collection. In addition to garments, the event extends into highly uncommon archival materials that rarely surface on the secondary market. These include a boxed set of VHS tapes containing footage from Raf Simons’ first nine runway shows, early invitations shaped like black palm–tree vinyl records, original Virginia Creeper lookbooks, photographs from Isolated Heroes created in collaboration with David Sims, as well as posters, books, and other selected printed matter.
Together, these items outline key chapters in Raf Simons’ history, presenting his work not simply as fashion but as a broader cultural archive. Alongside early and mid-period pieces, the event also features items from the final seasons before the brand’s hiatus, offering a wide yet coherent view of his creative output.
On December 29, Raf Simons himself will appear at Dover Street Market Ginza for a signing session from 18:00 to 20:00 JST, open exclusively to customers who purchase archive items on the day. The archive sale takes place on the second floor event space at Dover Street Market Ginza, with store hours running from 11:00 to 20:00 JST, subject to year-end holiday schedules.
