On June 13, 2025, a special T-shirt collaboration between iconic American rock band METALLICA and renowned artist MADSAKI will be released. A devoted fan since his childhood in 1984 New York, MADSAKI has never stopped listening to METALLICA. Unlike typical collaborations that reuse existing visuals, this project features entirely new artwork created by MADSAKI himself—art born from his personal history, fan obsession, and unique artistic lens. Silkscreened onto four distinct T-shirts, the designs are accessible even to those unfamiliar with METALLICA, yet instantly resonate with hardcore fans. Each piece references powerful, era-defining phrases from the band’s legacy: “METAL UP YOUR ASS,” “SEEK & DESTROY,” “FUK EM UP,” and “EET FUK.” The result is a rare crossover that honors both MADSAKI’s artistic world and METALLICA’s unmatched presence in rock history. To celebrate the launch, a pop-up will be held at PARADISE TOKYO—the flagship store of WACKO MARIA and a close friend of MADSAKI. In-store visitors can also view original hand-drawn graphics by the artist during the event. The METALLICA x MADSAKI tees will be available in limited quantities starting June 13 at 12:00 PM via MADSAKI’s official website, the PARADISE TOKYO pop-up, and the WACKO MARIA online store.
