On January 24, 2026, Y-3 presented its Fall/Winter 2026 collection at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris, focusing on the latent potential between the technological and the organic. The presentation served as an abstract expression of motorsport, characterized by an immersive performance where a pit crew in all-black boiler suits moved through a Grand Prix-inspired scenography. This aesthetic was anchored by a major new collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One team, utilizing racetrack abstractions to reference velocity, tension, and precision.
The collection unites the label’s past and future through custom prints and diverse artistic dialogues. Graphics by long-standing collaborator Chikami Hayashi are paired with sprayed artwork from the transgressive artist Chito, who mutated the iconic Three Stripes into unexpected forms. Apparel silhouettes continue to propose a uniform of the streets that bridges functionality and expression, featuring tailored pieces made adaptive through interchangeable details and the return of denim for the first time in over a decade.
Footwear remains a focal point of innovation and subversion for the season. The presentation saw the debut of the Y-3 Nisi, the label’s first fully vulcanized shoe, worn by legendary skateboarder Mark Gonzalez. Other highlights include the Y-3 Tokyo Warped, which reimagines its namesake franchise, and the Y-3 Superstar 3G, a model that juxtaposes a low-profile aesthetic with an exaggerated sole. Throughout the range, a Beast motif—originally seen on the Yohji Yamamoto runway—appears across both shoes and prints, serving as a spiritual counterweight to the precision of the motorsport theme.
