Danish luxury audio pioneer Bang & Olufsen has announced a collaborative partnership with Fragment, the Tokyo-based design studio led by Hiroshi Fujiwara. Rather than a temporary marketing intersection, the project represents a physical continuation of a thirty-year dialogue between the designer and the manufacturer’s technological legacy. The collection balances the signature matte monochrome aesthetic of the streetwear pioneer with specialized industrial aluminum fabrication, modernizing four celebrated hardware structures from the label’s historical and contemporary catalog.
The collaborative product array spans personal travel equipment, home architectural installations, and legendary turntable revivals. For high-mobility listening, the waterproof Beosound A1 portable speaker features custom high-gloss anodized hardware and an engraved double-lightning motif for ¥64,000 (tax included). The immersive Beoplay H100 Dolby Atmos headphones utilize black anodized metal against white graphic contrasts and monochrome leather detailing for ¥310,000 (tax included). For living spaces, the modular Beosound Shape tile layout uses a monochrome textile composition inspired by floral geometry sketched by Fujiwara at ¥1,119,700 (tax included). The collection concludes with the monumental Beosystem 9000c and Beolab 28 sound pillar configuration, re-engineered in deep black surfaces for ¥10,990,200 (tax included).
The global rollout initiates through a series of dedicated retail activations across prominent domestic institutions. The physical environments, engineered by design firm Daikei Mills, explore industrial extension cords to divide the presentation spaces. The pop-up circuit launches at Isetan Shinjuku from May 20 to May 26, 2026, traveling to Hankyu Mens Osaka from June 3 to June 9, and concluding at Iwataya Main Store from July 1 to July 7, 2026. Select general releases will subsequently arrive on the brand’s website and at the Bang & Olufsen Omotesando boutique starting May 27, 2026.
