Artists Takuto Kadokura and PROT, designer of Proleta Re Art, have presented their first-ever collaborative canvas artwork titled Under Dog (PPP=Shuhari). The monumental piece debuted as part of the group exhibition Meirekireki Rodoudou, hosted by Goyo Gallery in Tokyo from August 12 to August 29, 2026. Marking PROT’s first official canvas creation, the artwork brings together over two decades of creative connection between the two Musashino Art University alumni.

The project’s central ethos, “PPP,” stands for Protect, Protest, and Prosper—a statement calling to protect artisanal craftsmanship, protest unsafe supply chain conditions, and advocate for fair livelihoods across fashion manufacturing. Visually referencing the national flag of Bangladesh, the canvas centers on a dog wearing a spiked Elizabethan collar (as shown in slides 3 and 4)—a symbolic detail representing the dual stance of protecting craftsmanship while actively fighting against systemic exploitation. Inspired by the 2013 Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh, the artists infused the piece with a forward-looking, positive message for global industry reform.

Reflecting this ethical commitment, a portion of the proceeds from the artwork will be donated to Shapla Neer, an organization dedicated to eliminating child labor and empowering vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.
